これまで本州と九州から知られていたが、Li & Zhang (2022)は中国のセイヨウアブラナから記録すると共に、オスを記載した。関東地方では5月頃にシラカシ、アラカシ等のQuercus属の新葉から得られる。本種は雌雄異形で、オスの触角第6節は長く発達し、メスのそれとは大きく異なり、第1~5節を足した長さの1.4倍程度の長さ。オスは日本では未知である。
This species had been recorded from Honshu and Kyushu, Japan, but Li & Zhang (2022) recorded it and described its male from Brassica napus of China. It is collected from young leaves of Quercus such as Q. glauca, Q. myrsinifolia around May in Kanto-region, Japan. It indicates sexual dimorphisum as followings: male antennal segment VI is elongate and much longer than that of female and 1.4 times as long as combined length of segments I-V, but male is unknown in Japan.
